    Yusuke TOYODA

    Completed the Graduate School of The University of Tokyo's School of Engineering in 2012 (specialized in Technology Management for Innovation, member of Abe Laboratory) in 2012 and joined Goldman Sachs Securities Co., Ltd. Developed and sold foreign exchange and credit-related financial products for the securities division and developed and made investments in megasolar projects for the strategic investment department. Made investment decisions in a wide range of sectors for private equity fund Integral, joining group to establish DIGITAL GRID in 2018. Became Representative Director, President (CEO) of DIGITAL GRID on July 2, 2019.

    Takuma CHIKAKIYO

    Graduated from Tokyo University Graduate School of Engineering (specialization in Technology Management for Innovation) and joined McKinsey & Co. in 2013, where he worked on projects such as energy-related business in manufacturing industry, strategic planning, management reform and operational Improvement. Seconded to power business of a domestic heavy engineering manufacturer in 2017, he returned to McKinsey and joined DIGITAL GRID in 2019. Member of the Abe and Mogi Joint Laboratory, University of Tokyo. Spent two months in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to study the economy of solar power systems in a desert environment for government agency K.A.CARE. Appointed to the board of directors on August 23, 2019.

    Takehisa SHIMADA

    Graduated from Meiji University (Bachelor of Law) in 1993 and joined the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, Ltd. Joined Mitsubishi Tokyo Securities (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities) then Goldman Sachs in 2004, becoming managing director, leading financial product development and corporate sales. Managing director of investment banking at UBS Securities before joining DIGITAL GRID in April 2020. Appointed to the board of directors on September 25, 2020.

    Tatsuya KUROKAWA

    Completed the graduate school of University of Tokyo’s School of Engineering in 2015 (specialized in Technology Management for Innovation). Developed social networking games and web media for DeNA Co., Ltd. Joined PKSHA Technology in 2017, focusing on the development of dialog engines and automated response systems. Joined DIGITAL GRID in August 2020 and developed the Digital Grid Platform. Appointed to the Board of Directors on October 30, 2023.

    Ryuko INOUE

    Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo in 1981, she joined the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. From 2016, she served as Director-General of the Research and Development Bureau at the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Council Secretariat. Following her retirement from public service, she joined Shibuya Sakai Law Office as an attorney in 2017. She currently serves as an Employer Representative on the Central Labour Relations Commission, and Outside Director of Cosmo Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. and NS United Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd., and as an Outside Director of Digital Grid Corporation.

    Mutsuo OTSUKI

    Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo in 1988, and joined Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO). He served as Head of the Planning Office from 2015 and Head of the Accounting Office from 2016. In 2017, he became Managing Director of TEPCO Power Grid, and in 2019, Managing Executive Officer of TEPCO Holdings. He currently serves as an Outside Director of Japan Electric Power Procurement Solutions and Trustee of the Yokohama City Environmental Conservation Council. Appointed Outside Director of Digital Grid Corporation in January 2024.

    Graduated from Waseda University with a Bachelor of Law in 1986 and joined J.P. Morgan, engaging in international markets and developing products for institutional investors. Joined Aozora Bank Ltd. in 2002, led portfolio investment business including an assignment at an investment management firm in the U.S. Joined Renewable Japan Co., Ltd. in 2015, where he led strategy as deputy senior general manager of renewable energy business. Established RJ investment Co., Ltd. in February 2016 as representative director. Established Renewable Japan Energy Infrastructure Fund, Inc. in August 2016, becoming executive director & fund representative. The company was listed as an infrastructure fund on TSE in March 2017. Joined DIGITAL GRID in September 2018, appointed executive officer in April 2020. Appointed to audit and supervisory board on October 29, 2021, becoming chairman in April 2022. Holds an MBA from NYU Stern, LSE, and HEC Paris (joint degree).

    Began his career at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd.(Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC )in 2000, followed by a role as senior consultant at Growin' Partners Inc. in 2006. Joined Anicom Insurance, Inc. in 2010 as director of the asset management department. in 2010. Became head of improvement of insurance claims payment and manager of claims payment planning at Anicom Insurance in 2012. Became head of corporate planning department in 2012. Became president and representative director at Anicom Capital, and general manager of corporate planning for Anicom Holdings in 2015. Joined ResuPress Inc. (now Coincheck, Inc.) as executive officer & CFO in 2016. Joined Union Tech Inc. (now CraftBank, Inc.) as executive director & CFO in 2019. Joined PharmaBio Corporation as executive officer for corporate planning & administration in 2021. Appointed outside member of audit & supervisory board of DIGITAL GRID on March 31, 2022.

    Hideyuki SAGO

    Graduated from the Faculty of Law at The University of Tokyo in 1987 and joined Mitsubishi Bank (now MUFG Bank). Joined Mitsubishi Finance International in 1994. In 2002, he was in charge of Structured Products at Mitsubishi Securities (now Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities). Appointed Executive Officer at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities in 2014. He served as an audit committee member of Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Holdings and as an auditor for Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities in 2020. Appointed outside auditor & supervisory board member of DIGITAL GRID in February 2025.

    Completed the graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at The University of Tokyo in 2011, joined Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and worked in corporate sales, derivatives risk management and trading at the overseas office. Joined Coincheck in 2018, managed operations, corporate planning and system development for virtual currency trading platform. Joined DIGITAL GRID in February 2020, managing the power trading platform and product planning. Appointed executive officer in October 2020.

    Hideaki MATSUI

    Completed the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Waseda University (Department of Physics and Applied Physics) in 1996. Worked at NTT, Nomura Research Institute and Tohmatsu Environmental Research Institute, joined the Japan Research Institute in 2007. Managed numerous renewable energy, distributed energy and smart-city related projects, becoming involved in technology development projects related to digital grid in 2015. Joined DIGITAL GRID in 2018 and appointed executive officer in April 2023.

    Completed graduate studies at Waseda University Law School in 2014, he was admitted to the bar in 2019 and joined OAG Law Office in 2021. He joined Digital Grid in 2021 and was appointed executive officer in 2024, where he oversees back-office operations with a focus on legal affairs.
